RAWMONA’S KITCHEN
Rawmona's Kitchen, was born out of the desire to create baked goods that nourish others’ souls with joy + magic using simple, healing + wholesome ingredients the Earth has to offer.We live in a magical place where Mother Earth gives us everything we nee to nourish + heal our body, mind and spirit and I feel called to bring back the day where we valued taking the time to gather our fruit, cook, bake and appreciate Natureonce again. I offer rich, tasty cakes + donuts using healing ingredients such as nut flours,nuts, spices + maple syrup, never using processed wheat, gluten, refined sugars,gums, grains, artificial flavorings or colorings. Through everything I bake atRawmona’s Kitchen, I wish to honor Mother Earth + remind myself and others of Her magic,and the importance of taking care of Her and nourishing our body + soul.

MY STORY
I inherited my love for the kitchen from my grandma.My grandma spent years of her life cooking for the workers at my family’s Hacienda. With loads of fresh produce that grew right there in the Hacienda and no other place to really buy things off the shelf, my grandma made her own jams, ice creams, the best "arroz con leche” and wrote a huge selection of recipes, which I still have. When she passed, all I really wantedwas this collection of recipes, which I deeply treasure. My love for the kitchen took off very early in life: not only learning from my grandma, butalso experimenting on my own. When I was 8, I took my first cooking class and sold cookies at my cookie stand right outside my house. I made a sign for my little business (which I still have),which I called "Galletitas Riquiiiisimas", meaning "Deliiicious Cookies.” As a teenager, I walked doorto door selling my homemade Cajeta (mexican caramel sauce) jell-o. Later on, I took a number ofcooking and baking courses in Mexico, Italy, Boston and NYC. I have learned from amazing, talented teachers as well as from books, magazines and blogs and have spent hours in the kitchen playing + experimenting. I now own a wholesome sweets business in Bend, OR called Rawmona’s Kitchen.
